on 14 november an ad posted by vodafone Egypt was beginning to spread on youtube
In this Ad the Stars of (Samir,Shahir and Bahir) went back in time to witness the great Abbas Ibn Fernas and had a conversation with him showing him as a lunatic person

” طير انت يا عباس ” , and the Disgusting way the man waves with his hand @ the end of the ad !
Then they showed a fan page for Abbas Ibn Fernas on Facebook written in it

So we(@FaidyOn and @Reem_Ahmed) preferred not to be silent and initiated a campaign against this ad on twitter using the hashtag #VodaFly which was trending in Egypt and a huge rage was spreading
Vodafone removed the ad around 8 PM for a couple of hours then they reposted it again
Vodafone didn’t reply to any of the tweets directed to them
They replied once to a comment on their Ad saying:
Vodafone removed a lot of comments on their Ad and on their facebook fanpage
@meshmesh6464 I can see that the Ad isn’t offending at all - it assures that Abbas was the first one who think about flying and he made the first step to open up the idea to the world.
Plus the Ad shows that brothers right were the second after Abbas…
